Citizen Loyalty
While relations track how states feel about each other, loyalty tracks how you stand with the state you live in. It’s a number from −100 to +100, and it’s tied to your current residency state only: the state named on your profile under Residency.
What moves loyalty
Section titled “What moves loyalty”| Action | Change |
|---|---|
| Start a coup against your own state | −10 |
| Attack in a war against your own state (per attack) | −1 each |
| Fight for your own state in a war (per attack) | +1 each |
| Donate resources or Levcoins to your own state’s treasury | +1 per 5,000 value |
Loyalty is clamped to the −100 … +100 range. Donating to your own state’s treasury builds loyalty by the value of what you give (see Donations): every 5,000 levcoin-equivalent value earns +1 loyalty, and anything below that is banked toward the next point. Loyalty builds twice as fast as inter-state relations (5,000 vs 10,000 value per point).
What loyalty does
Section titled “What loyalty does”- Loyal (positive): when you fight for your own state, you deal more damage: up to +10% at +100 loyalty (one tenth of your loyalty, as a percent).
- Disloyal (negative): two penalties bite at home. When you work in your own state’s resource factories, you produce less: output drops up to −10% at −100 loyalty (one tenth of your loyalty, as a percent; gun factories are unaffected). And buying on the market from sellers in your own state costs more: a surcharge up to +10% at −100 loyalty. (The trade surcharge stacks with any state-relation trade surcharge.)
So a devoted citizen is a harder-hitting soldier for their homeland, while a resentful one works and trades at a loss at home: nudging the disloyal to move on, make amends through donations and service, or rise up.
Your current loyalty is shown on your profile, under your residency.
