Games Like Pax Historia: AI Sandbox or Player-Run World?

Questi contenuti non sono ancora disponibili nella tua lingua.

If you are looking for a game like Pax Historia, decide what you want the world to react to: your scenario and an AI simulation, or the decisions of other people living in one persistent world. Both are browser strategy games with maps and politics, but they offer different kinds of control.

This guide is written by the Leviathan War team. It is not an independent ranking or an affiliation with Pax Historia. Pax Historia’s creators describe their game and its AI-driven responses on Y Combinator, and its official site calls it an alternate-history sandbox. The linked Leviathan War guides document our own rules.

Question Pax Historia Leviathan War
What do you control at the start? Choose a country or group in a scenario, then take actions to change its history. Start as one citizen in an existing state; earn influence through work, business, parties, and elections.
What shapes other actors? AI generates other countries’ and actors’ responses to your actions. Players also publish custom scenarios. Other players run the important institutions: governments, parties, companies, and military activity.
What happens to time? You can advance a scenario to see how your choices change its timeline. A shared world continues while players come and go; you do not advance it with a time jump.
What kind of world is it? Alternate histories and imagined scenarios, including community-created maps and presets. One ongoing political and economic world on a modern geographic map.

This is not a claim that Pax Historia is strictly single-player. The main distinction here is the role of its AI simulation and scenario creation versus Leviathan War’s shared society and player-run institutions. Check Pax Historia’s current modes on its site, since they can change.

Choose Pax Historia if the question in your head is “What if history went differently?” Its creators describe making or remixing maps and presets, playing as a country or group, taking actions, conducting diplomacy, and advancing time while AI models generate the responses of other actors. A custom scenario can explore an alternate past or a fictional future. Leviathan War does not offer that scenario-creation experience.

Choose Leviathan War if you want to be one person among other people. Your first decision is not which empire to command. You can take a factory shift, learn who owns the companies around you, join a party, and work toward an election or a war when one is active. Workers, business owners, voters, and rivals can disagree with you. An office or a victory is never guaranteed, and activity varies from state to state.

You can make a meaningful contribution before qualifying for political office: earn wages, supply a factory, or prepare military units. The first-session guide explains the current starting steps and the government guide explains how states are organized.

Leviathan War is free to start in a browser. Playing requires an account and email verification. Optional Emerald purchases and PRO provide gameplay benefits. If you want the shared-world approach, try Leviathan War.
